Families are our most precious resource. TRHD is dedicated to assuring and protecting the health of our future residents. The focus of the maternal health program is to provide early and comprehensive prenatal care to all pregnant women in need of these services.
We strive to reduce infant mortality and morbidity by improving the health of women and also to enhance access to prenatal care to ensure the best possible pregnancy outcome.
Services we provide include:
- Pregnancy testing
- Assistance applying for Baby Love Medicaid
- OB care management
- Complete physical exam
- Prenatal care
- Health Education and guidance
- WIC and nutrition education
- Immunizations
After the baby's birth patients receive a postpartum/newborn home visit by a public health nurse. These nurses provide education and supportive care on breastfeeding, newborn care, postpartum care and follow-up appointments for mother and baby.
